2015 Audi B8.5 A4 -That_Bagged_A4 -

Audi, the infamous rival of BMW and the younger sibling to Volkswagen. Like many manufactures, Audi had their humble beginnings from the roots of racing that gave birth to the production car that would later be their highest selling production model. Spanning decades redefining the meaning of luxury and sports altogether, Audi had created the perfect balance many manufactures strive for. At the time of production, Audi created a generation that elegantly displayed what a German made vehicle was all about.

The years of 2008 to 2016 would be known to the B-Platform as the B8 with the later half being refered to as the B8.5 mid year models. The B8 A4s were outfitted with an inline-4 2.0 TFSI engine, while efficient providing plenty of torque, was considered lacking and less refined when compared to the previous generations. Despite that, the A4 was received by many enthusiasts as one of the best production models for Audi.

For the month of November we have @That_Bagged_A4 and the much loved mid-year B8.5 Audi A4.  We’ve seen many Audi’s done up in many spectacular ways, however this one is a tad special. This build was conceived by @That_Bagged_A4 who originally wasn’t into cars in the first place! It wasn’t till his friend put the thought of modifying cars into his head that lead him to looking into more into the subject. (Good job whomever this friend is.) Over the years that proceeded to get the Audi where it is today, the result is one that enhances the beauty of the body style with a focused on improving what already exist. To put it in simpler terms, it is OEM+.

This mid-year Audi continues the B8 tradition of replacing the stock grill with an RS4 Styled Honeycomb Grill adding a touch of aggression to the neutral looking A4 front end. On top of that, the dark color of the grill complements the Ice Silver metallic paint much better than the factory chrome grills. To add some color, other than black, to a grey or grey-ish paint is never an easy task. Deciding on a color combo in of itself requires a bit of thought. However, @That_Bagged_A4  actually pulls it off quite well with a set of Bronze Rohana’s. Not a color to be expected, but its definitely unique. Completing  the look, its beautiful elevation is granted by Airlift’s 3pcs air suspension kit tucking the RF2s very well.

As for performance, the stock A4 was always lacking in the engine department. So any additional horses was much needed for the A4 to add a bit more excitement. In which case, Integrated Engineering came to the rescue with a tune. To help the little 2.0T TFSI cope with that added performance, @That_Bagged_A4 added a ARM Test Pipe, 3” Magnaflow custom exhaust, Mishimoto Oil Catch Can, ECS Diverter Valve Spacer, an ECS intake and a FMIC with Charge pipes from our friends over at Luft Technik.

@That_Bagged_A4 stated that “It feels like a blessing to have people that’s just like you in a community” we couldn’t have agreed with this anymore. We’re happy to have and welcome you to not only the car community, but the Euro community more specifically. Thank you for sharing and for choosing us to share a little about the story behind your build.
