2013 Volkswagen MKVI GTI - Ron -

The MK6 was first unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in October of 2008. It was positively received with some award wins under its belt, such as 2009’s “World car of the year” award. Even in 2010, Top Gear crowned the outstanding GTI as the "Hot Hatch of the year". Despite it being a success and having several improvements in performance, for some reason it didn’t get as much love in the car scene as it’s predecessor the MK5 or even it’s younger brother the MK7. It could have something to do with modding preferences among the car community or maybe it’s just the fact that it’s the middle child between two highly praised generations. Honestly, the MK6 is one of our favorite generations of Golfs here at Euromocracy and Ron’s GTI sums up why, perfectly.

Ron started out on the JDM spectrum of the car scene. However, after his first Volkswagon he fell in love and has been a Euro enthusiast ever since. Ron has owned a handful Volkwagon’s over the years and has even owned several at once. Some of his passed builds includes, not one but THREE MK4s and another Mk6 GTI.

We first met Ron during one of the 2019 South Florida Clean Culture events and ever since then he’s been a big supporter of Euromocracy. Although he has put a lot of work into his build to obtain such a clean setup, Ron doesn’t involve himself in the scene as much as you would think and even in its current state the build is far from being done.

Ron’s 2013 MK6 GTI is currently sitting on 18 inch ESRs complemented by a proper stance provided by Racelands Ultimate Coilovers. He swapped out the arms for an ECS Tuning camber kit and is running -8 degrees of camber in the rears. Under the bay you will find ECS Tuning coil packs and spark plugs.

As for what’s next on the build? He plans to have a downpipe installed in the near future along with a stage tuned 2.0T mounted with a CTS Air Intake. Stay tuned for this build and visit it again here on our site soon for a possible update on its progress.
